2.5 out of 5 stars Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
Drive is a unique blend of heavy sequences and dense atmospheres from Ian Boddy, a Berlin school valedictorian. The sequences are powerful, triumphant, and dynamic; the atmospheres are vacuous and spatial. Boddy adds some symphonic melodies that take this set over the top. The combination of those electronic elements gives this set high drama and extreme integrity. The soundscapes surround deep listeners and have their way with them. Boddy shifts back and forth at will with ease and expertise. For fans of the Berlin school, this is a must-have. It is an important representation of European electronic music.
