Since Adam Ant once had a group called the B-Sides, it makes sense that his singles, both as lead singer of Adam and the Ants and as a solo, would have non-LP B-sides. And since Ant was a hit in the U.K. before he made it in America, and was always bigger in Britain, many of those B-sides appeared only on English singles. This is a collection of songs recorded between 1980 and 1985 that gave Ant a chance to try novelty approaches while the A-sides relentlessly beat out his trademark "Antmusic." In fact, songs like "Making History" do have that characteristic yodel and the Burundi-style drumming of Terry Miall and Merrick. But elsewhere, Ant tries different things, frequently light, slight things like "Juanito the Bandito."
