For all those who don't have a record player or have a hard time collecting all the vinyl Pinhead Gunpowder released before the Carry the Banner EP, this is perfect. Jump Salty is comprised of the "Fahiza" and "Trundle and Spring" singles along with various hard to find tracks that were released on four scattered compilation albums. Even if this record never came out, it would still be worth the time to find all of their releases. Pinhead Gunpowder features some of the catchiest pop-punk licks with down to earth storytelling lyrics sung by both Billie Joe's crystal clear vocals and Bill's gruff shouting; they contradict but at the same time they click almost perfectly. It's a pity that this isn't a full-time band that tours and releases a new record every year (but then again maybe it's better off that way).
