Flautist János Péter’s newest formation, Firkin, was founded in the summer of 2008. The band is about to introduce the unbridledly buoyant genre of Irish Punk . The intentions of this well-endowed gang of musicians are not kept a secret: to relax, to unwind, to make you dance, to fill you up with energy, beer and wine. 
 Following the footsteps of the distinguished The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys as well as Europe’s latest fave, Flogging Molly, the band will start its tour on 2. October 2008 - also performing hits of its forefathers. János Péter: Is best known for his work in hungarian Celtic bands, music projects as PJC (folk-house) and Green Garden Groove (traditionally-structured songs in addition to ambient and dance). He has also appeared as a flautist and whistler in film scores and theatre productions & in hungarian concerts and albums as guest musician (Zoran, Crystal, Tamas Szabo, Peter Gerendas, Mondala , Age of Nemesis). His Celtic world music and world dance show „From Dawn to Dawn“, received positive publicity.
