yodaman11111's Artist Review for Lenny Kravitz
""
Don't listen to what the critics say; this album is actually one of Lenny's best. The funk-rock on this album is the funkiest, and the soulful songs are some of the best.
Despite all the negative reviews from critics about this album, I just can't help but love it. From the opening riff of "Rock And Roll Is Dead", this album is a winner. It expands everything Kravitz has done, and finally it seems like he's finding his own style. This album is probably the closest he's ever gotten to doing straight funk (although I wouldn't consider the ballads funky). Definitely something to check out, if you want to hear the funkier side of Kravitz. Lyric-wise, this album is typical Kravitz, so you know what to expect- some songs have great lyrics, others have really dumb ones. But this album is highly recommended, for the hardcore Lenny fan, or even for non-fans.

Like his clothes, and his vocal range. Though his clothes are fancy, his rifs are pretty cool. R U GOnna go my way gets in your head sometimes, mama said, fields of joy, the solo is a replica of one of hendrix songs. Buy hey he rocks!
