The Waking Hours

By combining 60's British Invasion rock with power-pop antics and a touch of glam rock, Richmond, Virginia's The Waking Hours just want to have fun and occasionally smash up their instruments. Having gotten their start in 1994, Rob Clark (drums) and Tom Richards (vocals/ guitar) eventually gathered up Scott Richards (bass) and Ricky Tubb (guitar), fully settling in their line-up by 1996. After the release of their first album which was also independently recorded and distributed, The Waking Hours were also independently putting themselves in debt all for the sake of D.I.Y. Two years following, Time Bomb Records sought out, signed and released their self-titled second album. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
