Waking in the Blue
New England rock band Waking in the Blue includes several former members of progressive rock outfit Tristan Park, which released three albums in the '90s, including A Place Inside (1995) and Looking Homeward (1998), on the British-based GFT label. Formed as a vehicle for songwriters Brian and Michelle Coombes, Waking in the Blue (the group takes its name from a poem by Robert Lowell) drafted in two of Brian's former bandmates from Tristan Park, drummer Jim Turmel and bassist Mike McAdam, while working on their first studio project. Violinist and guitarist Bryan Duff completed the group's lineup. The band's debut album, Isn't It Pretty to Think So?, was released in 2003. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
