I know very little about black metal bands and I need to know some good ones.

The classic ones are Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, the first couple of Venom records, and Bathory. They are the original black metal bands.
But the newer stuff, check out Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem, Anaal Nahkrath, and Marduk. That should get you started.

I'd recommend one Chthonic from Taiwan. Listen to the best of- album Pandemonium and you'll get an idea how it works on you. After that, if you like it, get all the rest of their albums.

Mirrorthorne, Wyrd, Arcturus, Black Horizons, Dantalion, Dissection, Graveworm, Ihsahn, Naglfar, Primordial, etc...A lot of those are mixs of Black/Death, Prog Black, Blackened Folk, etc.

You should start with the bands of the first wave: Celtic Frost, Mercyful Fate, Hellhammer, Venom and early Bathory. If you enjoy those bands then you should try out the Norwegian usual suspects such as Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone, etc. From this point on your interest on Black Metal and your brand new enlightened mind will be enough for you to start looking for more "obscure" bands on your own.
