Has this ever happened to you?

Ok tell me if this has happened to you before: You just started the game, and as luck would have it you started near the path that brings you to the highest and best sniping point in the game. You go up here and lying at your feet is your best friend, a long range extended barrel quick action rifle (otherwise known as a sniper rifle). With your newly acquired weaponry you scope the field in search of your pray. Lucks really with you now when you find him sitting behind a barricade on the far west side of the field. You sight down for the perfect headshot, and just as your about to pull the trigger you notice something strange. He turns and looks directly at you, now logically you know that from your vantage point you know you cannot be spotted by anyone on the ground, yet he is looking straight at you. After that slight hesitation you resight your aim only to discover something even more alarming, while you where busy contemplate the weird actions of your prey he had shot a missile at you. You try to escape, but you can't move fast enough and you end up getting hit dead-on thus dying. Ok so you know what happened on the screen, so now I must tell you what was happening in real life: You and your friend (whoever) decided to play an ever so fun game of killing each other (Halo, Halo 2, M.p.E., Star fox Assault, ect.). Moving right along, we go to the point after you were just killed by the missile. You discover that the reason your friend was able to spot you was because he was looking on your screen. I cannot tell you how many times I have had this happen to me, but I can tell you that I hate it. My point: Let me say this for the record, I love multi-player games but them become less enjoyable when all your sneaky tactics become useless because your friend looks on your screen and discovers what your up to.

Effectiveness of the split screen

I love multi-player games; I own a very huge amount and play them all the time.  My only universal complaint that I can tag to almost any multi-player game (excluding online, lanned, and most fighting games) is "Screen Looking."  It is hard to avoid, and it ruins every sneaky tactic you try and pull off. Seriously who out there knows what I am talking about?
