while most people consider beneath the remains their breakthrough album and their start to thier successful career, schizophrenia is just as good, but never had the chance to be successful due to their label they were sighned to which allowed them to only to release the album in brazil.
though the production is a bit sketchy mostely on max's vocals, the music is still pretty clear and still very enjoyable. sepultura now with ther new lead guitarest Andreas Kisser show off how much skill they actually have with their instraments and their song writing has greatly increased since morbid visions, the instramental "inquisition symphony" proves this point. the opening track was an eye opener, and though the whole album is prety solid, some of the songs that make the cd are "escape the void""screams behind the shadows" and "troops of doom".
after listening to this album, its clear this cd should have been sepultura's breakthrough, but the little exposure of this cd made it seem like it really isnt an important album. though now the re-issue is out and we can all look back on it and se where the real roots of sepultura came from.

this album is the my favorit Pantera album because it was the peak for Pantera writing wise. this album has the best songs put out of any Pantera album like my favorit "walk". other songs that also stand out are "mouth for war" "f@#king Hostile" "this love" "regular people(conceit)". though there are the songs that stang out, there isnt a wasted sound on the album.
this album is one most essential metal albums of all time. if you like badass lyrics and fast and hard sound, then this is the album for you, because it sure as hell was for me.
