We will miss you Scott! 2001 - 2009 RIP

Two days ago it was my birthday, i turned 16. But that isn't what i come to say. My beautiful beloved cat Scott is gone

Now remember i'm timewise ahead of most of you just to let you know.

Atabout this time now when i am typing this, Colin my older brother called me outside. I ran outside to find Scott my ginger and white fluffy cat is lying on his back bearly breathing and in pain obviosly. I then runinside call me mum, then call the vet. Mum was 15 minutes away. While then, i grab a laundry clothes basket big enough to fit Scott in. Then i catch Steven my black and white cat to take him to the vet too as he has a skin condition that needs an injection every now and agin. We left poor Mark home as if it came to something, Mark would be very upset. We took him all the while he was making wired noises and was meowing. Scott never meowed normaly. I had never heard him make those noises before. At the vet waiting room, Scott went ballistic as a huge boisetress dog came in woofing like there was no tommorrow. He gave Colin a good shredding round the neck with his claws. Finally we went through. Dr. Ian our vet was concered. He decided it wasnt a snake bite like last time, in which he almost died, but it was probably another toxin, or poiseness spiders. Herbicide i think was his gut guess. I don't even know what that is to thell the truth. We all took our last and final pat hoping it wasn't but Scott was in pain so Ian quickly took him out back to give him oxygen and genarally stabilise him. We never got around to Steve. Dad had showed up too and offerd to play curior to get the blood test back fast. Worried and upset we got back home.

A little while later i went outside and found mum. She had found some rat poo. Maybe Scott was silly enough to eat rat bait. I believed he was. We rang the vet, but no, Ian doubted it.

Later that night around 7pm to 7:30pm the vet rang up. He didn't make it. He had rapidly deteriourated. There was no hope to revive him.

Scotty man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Scott is gone. I will never see him again.

My mum found Scott as an abandened kitten dumped in a supermarket carpark. He was tiny, covered in fleas, eyes gunked up and scared. Mum picked him up drove back to her work. She didn't the stuff she had come to get orriginally.

My best day that year was running over the primary school oval with my brother, climbing into the car to find mum in the back seat with a little kitten in a cardboard box. We all instantly fell in love with him. We took him home and named him Scott after my mum's work. Then when mum cleaned him up. He became our newest family member. I was thrilled. Only 10 months or so earlier, i had just got a baby brother Mark.

I remember playing with Scott as he grew up:with Mark, while renovating the dining room (the room i'm using the computer in now) and now i feel incredibly guilty telling Scott off when he chased Millie.

I know i shouldn't get too upset, too late for that, because in the last few hours of his good life, Scott was in pain, not being able to breath. Scott did have a good life, an unfortunate beguinning, but Scott wouldn't be alive if mum hadn't needed ingrediants to make finger paint.

Scott lived to be 8 years old. He spent those 8 truly wounderful years with us.

So where ever you are now Scott, mum, dad, Colin, Mark, Millie, Steven and even Neo would like to say thank you for being the best ginger and white fluffy cat with an atitude in the world. We will all miss you very much.

Here are some pics of my beautiful boy. These arn't very recent as i cant show the very last photo i took of him because i have misplaced (i wont say lost) my card reader. I will make a tribute with lots of pics of him later.

Isn't he beautiful?

Oh and one last thing i thought was important. When i rang up mum to tell her about Scott, she was at the exact same supermarket carpark as where she found him. So it looks like that is when his story began, and ended. It was at Sim's supermarket carpark in Footscray Victorira (Australia).

Bye bye Scotty man. I will love you always. *sniff*

My Neo has turned 1! He's growing up. I haven't got here sooner than this as he had his b'day on the 29th August!! For his birthday he got a big basket of all his favourite num nums. Including ( i know i know) a little bit of lettuce. I didn't give him that much. And we also got him a new big box on a stand. We have also set up a play pen area for him. Anyway with out any more ado lets roll out a Neo parade!

Neo is the darker one with more ginger. Gully's the mostly white one. We also went to an animal sanctuary and amongst all the koalas and kangaroos guess what i found...piggies! PhotobucketPhotobucket The amount of photos i took of them must have left the visiters woundering if this was the first time i have seen a guinea pig. On to my cats where my cat Steven is hanging in there. He had a stroke a few weeks ago. But it looks like we may have him a little longer.

Millie and Scott are fine. We almost got to keep a grey and white cat we found and dubbed him Merlin. A neighbors dog called Murphy is sadly very ill. She has cancer in her throat with a terrible cough. She may be put to sleep soon. Poor girl. And i'm looking after a myschevious cat called Spencer. He's black and white long hair(cross between Steve and Scott). He won't come when called. But has these funny poofy legs!! Anyway. I need to go. It originally started as Happy Birthday Neo!! Oh and i forgot to add. Neo's a rather large guinea pig. Bigger then other pigs. If you get my drift. I want him to lose some weight. Any ideas?

One week after stroke, Steven is doing okay

Tonight will mark one week of Steven's stroke. He is doing okay and has taken recidence up in my room. His walking is still a little wonkey but he's getting there. He probably think we're being mean to him. We're not letting him outside. I don't think he really understands what's happened to him. Anyway hear are some picks of my beautiful Stevieman. Steven has had a stroke!!!

Not an infection, not a nuelogical problem. The vets initial thought was wrong, Steven did have a minor stroke on the part of his brain that controles motor function. At this moment things are looking up for him. I went to school and cried a lot today, i thought he was dying, but no. While he isnt out of the woods yet, the vet is positive about him. Tommorrow if all is well he'll come home. While he is an old boy of 15 i'm now confident that this isn't his last adventure!! His blood work came back and most things are in the norm. All his vital organs look good too. He is probably doing better at his age, than cats half his age!!! After he recovers from this he'll probably become more an inside cat and laze around a lot more than now. When we visited him he managed to stand up and take a few steps towards us before he fell which is bloody good for his condition. Colin swang by a few hours earlier and he could definatly see improvment.

So why he isnt completly out of the woods, he's doing bloody well!!!!!!!!!!

Update of Steven

Well he's at the vet now. And will be for tonight. His blood test has been moved from Thursday to tomorrow morning. He had deteriated. He couldn't walk. His bum was up except his head was almost touching the ground. I freaked out when i saw him. So the difference between now and this morning is he cant walk, his heart is beating faster and that his tempreture is up to like 40" celcius. Which is bloody hot. The vet thinks its either a blood infection or a nuralogical problem. We are hoping that it is a blood infection as they can treat that with antibiotics. A nuralogical problem, well not so much. We think his fall this morning is a symptom, not a cause. Though he still probably went into shock. The good news i guess is that there is a very slim chance that he has had a stroke. So yer. I'm in more controle of myself now, than when i was typing earlier. I don't think there was much grammar So at the moment we are keeping our fingers crossed. And hoping for the best. I'lllet you know about the blood tests tomorrow.

Thanks. Wormy.
