anyone wanna join my new union? looking for officers
it hasn't exactly started yet
but I'm making a union about electronics. just them in general. cell phones, computers, video games, iPods/MP3 players, TVs, DVD/Blu-Ray players, etc. but I wanted to find some people that would be willing to help me start the union by being an officer. you don't have to be the best officer ever, I'm just asking you to be somewhat active. actually.. if anyone could just be a starting officer so that way I could start the union and they could leave after that and eventually let someone else be officer, that would even help. I've been a member of Gamespot for about 4 1/2 years and I just wanna try being a leader of a union lol if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out. I don't have exact plans for the union but I do have ideas. and I'm sure a lot of things could be discussed cause electronics are a big thing in most peoples lives. we could discuss many different electronics, give each other advice on how to fix things or advice on what to buy. maybe post our own reviews on something that we recently bought or already own. I think it seems like a decent idea that has the potential to turn into something good.
so is anyone willing to help me give this union a try? I'd really appreciate the help and if anyone could just help me get it started, that'd be more than enough help. just comment this blog or send me a message if you're interested. thanks ![]()
Level 37: Heiankyo Alien
whatever the hell that means
it's the first time I've gotten to a new level in over 9 months so I figured I'd make a blog post about it lol I haven't been on Gamespot too much this year (or last year for that matter) but I've been on more often and have been posting a lot more. so it's just nice to see my level rising again.
other than that.. nothing new has been going on. Christmas is in 2 weeks and it'll definitely be nice to have off school for a little while. oh and I finally got a Verizon phone, it's a Samsung Intensity. it's a pretty decent keyboard phone. not the best one or anything but it's nice and it's just great to finally have a much better cell phone service.
starting to not play video games again.. lol
well I guess this is the opposite of my last blog which was over a month ago. I basically sold all of my Xbox stuff that I bought last month. all I have left is a non-working PS2 with working games and I have some non-working Xbox games that the buyer of the Xbox didn't want but oh well, I'll get rid of them somehow. oh yeah, I still have a Game Boy Color from like 10 years ago. haha, it doesn't turn on anymore though.
the Xbox just kinda bored me. it was nice to have and it felt like an upgrade from my Gamecube cause I didn't have wireless controllers for my Gamecube and I could watch DVD's on the Xbox (I have a DVD player anyway) but there were only a few games out of all of the 30+ games I had that I actually enjoyed. and maybe a few others that I would eventually have liked to get but didn't feel like it. so in the past month I've managed to get rid of my Gamecube collection of like 7 controllers, a Game Boy Player and around 30 games, most of them being the best games for the system. that collection started back in 2002. then I bought an Xbox and just got rid of that. I'm pretty much using the money to buy a Verizon cell phone and stick with a prepaid plan with them for now, I'm getting sick of Boost Mobile which is what I have at the moment. the service sucks, even if it is cheap. I always seem to get texts late too. and my girlfriend has Verizon so neither one of us will have to use minutes when talking to each other during any part of the day. so I guess you could say I'm done with video games for now but whenever I get a job around here, I plan on buying a Wii or PS3. cause one thing I didn't like about having the Xbox was that I didn't have any new games to look forward to because they don't make games for it anymore. I can just play my brothers Xbox 360 when he comes over so that's why I'd rather get a Wii or PS3. but he's planning on getting a Wii for christmas so.. it's like I could just play that and maybe get some of my own games to play on it if there's any games I want that bad. so maybe a PS3 in the future would be the best choice? I don't know.. but oh well, I'll just have to wait and see what happens. sorry if I let any of you fellow gamers down lol. whenever I move in with my girlfriend, which seems like it'll be in 2011 or most likely 2012 cause she'll probably have to live on campus for the first year of college and she's starting college in 2011. I'll probably try to rent a house or something close to there so I can see her sometimes then she can live with me after the first year and keep going to college while living with me. she originally wanted to be a doctor but now she wants to be a veterinarian and go to some college in Michigan that she's been looking at. she keeps changing her mind but I'm just like babe I'll just go wherever you go. haha. but anyway.. back to the reason why I started talking about my girlfriend right after I was talking about video games.. when we live together, she wants us to have video games that we can play together and probably 1-Player games too cause she enjoys all types of video games. and no, she isn't one of those nerdy girls lmao. she just happens to be an amazing, very good looking girl that actually enjoys video games sometimes. so that's a huge plus. I love basically everything about her, December 7th will be our 17 month anniversary.
but I don't wanna make this much longer. I know I don't come on here too often and I know rarely talk to people on here but I'd be glad to add anyone on Myspace or Facebook if they have one. I've been on Gamespot for over 4 years so there's no way I'm leaving it. I just don't know when I'll start getting into this site again.
starting to play video games again plus what I've been up to
I recently moved out of my dad's house in New Jersey to live with my mom in Pennsylvania cause I couldn't deal with his crap anymore. I think it was September 4th when I moved here to be exact. I started a new school on September 29th. one of the hardest things has been not seeing my old friends and having to see new people everyday at school. I'm actually going to a career and tech center so no academic classes this year. well except for a college level english class that I'm required to take wednesday and thursday for an hour. the school is alright, I think I just miss my old school and friends too much to enjoy this one. I've been with the same girl for a little over 15 months now. well we had some problems inbetween and had to break up for a little while over the summer because of her mom but that's a long story. we're still going strong. but I rarely go on Gamespot anymore, I rarely play video games either. since my brother was the one that owned an Xbox 360, I couldn't play that anymore cause he lives back in New Jersey. I had a few Xbox 360 games, I took those with me so I could sell them to get a cell phone again. I could have played them when he came here cause I had some good ones like Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising and Gears Of War but it was pointless to keep them if I could only play them a couple times a month when my brothers came here, they still come every other weekend to see my mom. I still haven't been able to sell Condemned: Criminal Origins and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. I loved the first one but I only made it through a little of the second one. I still had my Gamecube though with most of my original games. some of the ones that I had that are considered classic for that system are the Mario games, The Legend Of Zelda, Metroid and of course Super Smash Bros. Melee and Resident Evil 4 just to name a few. I still loved those games but got tired of them fast due to the fact that I've had all of those games anywhere between about 1 1/2 and 7 years and I beat most of them at least a few times. and I've already had a couple PS2s before so I decided that I wanna get the game system I never owned from the last generation of video game systems. the Xbox.
I'm not made of money so I can't get an Xbox 360 right now but I really don't feel like getting one of them anyway because if there were any games that I really wanted to play that bad then I could just buy that game and play it on my brothers Xbox 360. also, I could probably find a used one for as low as $100 or something but then I gotta buy games and everything which would be too much. so today, I put up a post on craigslist. I decided to sell my Gamecube, 7 controllers (I just randomly ended up with them sometimes), a Game Boy Player and of course, 26 games. I used to have more than that but anyway.. I knew I was gonna miss that thing and some of its great games but I figured it's time to get another game system so I can be less bored on the days where I'm stuck at home. about a half hour after I posted that, I had someone offer me $125 for everything. I liked that offer and then less than a couple hours later I got a call from someone saying they would give me $160 for everything. I decided right there I'd go with that, no argument there. he got a good Gamecube collection and I got more than enough money to start an Xbox collection. I also had made a post about wanting an Xbox. if worst came to worst, I'd just buy one for $50 at Gamestop. but I wanted to see if anyone could offer me a good deal. I actually made posts about an Xbox like a week ago just in case I did get money any time soon. I got an email around that time from a guy about an Xbox with some stuff and didn't really hear much from him but I tried emailing him again today and he answered back with his number and told me to call if I was interested. as it turns out, he has an Xbox with a couple wireless controllers, the thing to watch DVDs on it and 37 games. and what's even better is that when I offered $100, he said that's fine. I now have the $160 that I got for selling the Gamecube and stuff and I can buy that Xbox with all that stuff and still have $60 leftover. I'll have a ton of games to start with and I'll have money to buy more if I want to. it was sad to see my Gamecube go but in the end, they're all just video games and I'm in my last year of high school anyway. with my luck, I feel like the Gamecube is not gonna work for him for some reason and I'll have to buy it back. but if the plans keep going then I'm gonna buy that Xbox and stuff from that guy tomorrow XD
so I don't know if I'll keep coming on here or not too often, I just get bored with this site. I wanna buy a PS3 and/or a Wii whenever I get a job in the future. maybe I'll start coming on then when I have more video games to talk about
I've been a member of this site for over 4 years now and I can't believe I'm only 35% through level 36. I've been on this level since March. oh well.
Level 36: Radical Ninja
wow.. lol I made it to level 36, the last time I made it to a new level was on August 1st
but I barely go on Gamespot anymore and I don't even play video games that much anymore. no offense to video games, I still love them, it's just I don't have anything new and I don't have much money to buy new ones lol I really wanna play Resident Evil 5 though.
