Just a quick update since it's ben a long time (again). I've been watching a few shows even though I've been really busy with school and such. Right now I'm rewatching Dexter season one just for fun and I started a good show, Mad Men, based on suggestions from a bunch of friends; I'm about half way through season one of that. Tomorrow is the first of the last 10 BSG episodes, so I can't wait for that =S, and then of course next week is the night episode premiere of Lost so hopefully I'll be back to talk about my thoughts on everything that happens soon.
Peace, atv
Federer was holding the Swiss Flag!!

In the interview, they asked asked to choose between meeting his gf and holding the flag and he chose Mirka! His explanation was that he was with her for 8 years but held the flag for only 20 mintues. So both mean a lot, but Mirka is more special!! Agreed! ![]()
lol people actually read this crap?
Hola, again. If you can gain anything from the title, I hope you gain that I am leaving this site. I know people have said this and that about not leaving, but after some incredibly sickening things arose within the past day, I must say that I am leaving this site for good. I'm not saying why, or calling anybody out, but I will say that I am shocked by those who I thought were good friends of mine that happened to be a part of this website, one that I can't believe I joined. Either way, you people sicken me. If you have been a good person on this website, not done anything evil or whatnot and know you haven't, I'm obviously not talking to you. You that know that you haven't done anything wrong are great gems of people. Those of you that are questioning whether you've done anything to hurt other users, whether purposely or not, I hate your guts. Every part of your body, every thought in your small, thick-skinned head, I despise. I put a lot of trust in people, but I know I should have trusted my mom when she told me to not put much faith in those I meet with online. Well, she was right and I've been stabbed in the back. Like so many times before, I realize that as good as I thought I had it, most of it was just a lie. I'm left alone, all alone again. And guess what? I'm not going to blame myself for once, but those who I thought I could trust but took advantage of it. Those that have left this site did so with a good amount of reason. I will be glad to leave here. If you want to keep in contact, I'll give you my e-mail. If not, stay the hell away. Adios, I really wish for once I could be accepted somewhere, and you've proven me that I won't... Ever... Thanks a lot.
Hey, so I'm back from Ottawa and I had a pretty good trip.
So the book club starts tommorow. The first book is Catch-22, then it will be Lord of the Flies. The winners of the second round of voting are Tale of Two Cities, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Bad Twin, The Third Policeman, Of Mice and Men
Here's the complete outline of how it will work...
I'm going to have to last round of voting at a latter date.
Like many of the characters on LOST, i'm a fan of lists. Whatever the subject matter i love the debate that lists invariably bring. I think there's a human element to that, we say that we compromise artistic integrity when we judge art by a distinct hierarchy but it's all ******** in my humble opinion. And as needless and trifling as it may seem, it makes me happy to get my opinion's scrutinized and deflated.
Just so nobodies confused, I lumped all the two/three part episodes together as one episode for the sake of convenience. I also offered up a few useless IMO nuggets on a few episodes in parenthetical fashion, the episodes sans commentary are likely episodes that are ranked accordingly, meaning i don't think i've over- or under- rated those eps as grossly as i did the rest
.
Also going on an internally levied four star system - even my most hated episodes have enough merit to be better than most television i've watched - each division is where i'd rank each group of episodes, from the first group in the 3.1 to 4.0 star range (Orientation would be the only one i'd give 4 stars to) and the last group which is the 0.1 to 1.0 range (S.O.S being that 0.1)
So without further ado here's my "running" list, feel free to criticize:
01. Orientation (The episode that hooked me and made me appreciate something "bigger" was at work!)
02. Through the Looking Glass (both parts - Wow! Added more dimension and depth than any previous episode!)
03. Flashes Before Your Eyes (Opened a new avenue of theory. One of the few times i unexpectedly found myself emotional during Lost)
04. Lockdown
05. One of Them (I still have goosebumps when i watch this episode!)
06. The Brig
07. Man of Science, Man of Faith
08. ?
09. Live Together, Die Alone (both parts)
10. The Hunting Party (Loved everything about this episode, even Jacks failed marriage! Especially loved Jack, Locke, & Sawyer all at odds leading to Mr. Tom Friendly's finest hour!)
11. Enter 77 ("Things have clearly moved to the next stage")
12. Catch-22 (Funny, well written, well acted, one of the more solid episodes)
13. Not In Portland
14. Deus Ex Machina (Powerful end)
15. The Other 48 Days (Played like a mini-movie!)
16. Pilot (both parts)
17. The Cost of Living (Would be one of the best if not for the ridiculous Paulo & Nikki scene.)
----------------------------------------
18. What Kate Did (Only watchable kate episode)
19. Collision (A good sociological episode :-) )
20. Solitary
21. Exodus (all 3 parts - I know i'll be crucified for it but the first chapter dragged the following two contiguous parts down)
22. The Long Con (For a non-mythos advancing character episode i really liked this one, loses points because it does seem to come out of nowhere)
23. A Tale of Two Cities
24. Par Avion (Overpraised episode with a couple of great scenes)
25. Raised by Another
26. ...In Translation (liked the language/cultural barrier angle)
27. Two for the Road
28. All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues (Good "instigator" episode that i liked more once i got past the "tape-chase")
29. Dave (Good parody episode, really funny. Sayid and Ana in the hatch wit Ben was epic)
30. The Glass Ballerina
31. Every Man for Himself (Very solid Sawyer episode that was the first and only time i appreciated one of Kate's relationships)
32. The Man From Tallahasee (Good episode that was backloaded with reveals at the end)
33. Adrift (liked "going back" and seeing the entry from another perspective, the raft exchanges were humorous)
34. Three Minutes
35. The 23rd Psalm
36. Fire + Water (I liked some of the "behind the scenes" duelling faiths with Locke and Eko. Loses points for being a Charlie episode, though it exposed Charlie's Co-Dependency.)
37. Tricia Tanaka is Dead
38. Further Instructions (Loved Locke's dream and character development, weak mini-arc though)
39. Stranger In A Strange Land (It's not terribly noteworthy, but i did enjoy this episode more than Joe Public, have highlighted why elsewhere)
40. The Man Behind the Curtain (Illustrious and chilling ending, but some scenes really should have been re-shot and/or left on the editing floor.)
41. Maternity Leave (A lot of cursory issues i have with this episode, Claire annoyed the **** out of me)
42. Outlaws
----------------------------------------
43. The Greater Good (Garden-variety aside from Sayid & Locke's interaction, flashback was beautiful but hollow)
44. One of Us (Interesting, but too many aimless plot contrivances congested in this episode made it seem very forced. Inexplicable implant was one of Lost's lowest and campiest moments.)
45. Everybody Hates Hugo (Kind of a downer after Orientation, but i liked Hurley's dilemma)
46. Hearts and Minds (Very well directed episode, Boone and Shannon are just awful though)
47. Numbers (Funny, but tried waaaaaay too hard to be "out there" and didn't succeed in my estimation. A weaker parody ep. because the writers seemed to almost want to believe it wasn't.)
48. Homecoming (Charlie pukes on a copier then shoots Ethan.. not ****** cool)
49. Confidence Man (Sawyer gets tortured for a kiss, funny but silly, and cons himself out of a con- extra silly!)
50. Walkabout (Lot's of boar hunting, talks with Rose, the first Ghost Dad siting, and a funeral.. Oh yeah and there's some bombastic reveal about a wheelchair? The rest of Locke's flashback is better than the uncomfortably lofty and unintentionally funny reveal)
51. Abandoned (Shannon whines then dies, the latter is the highlight)
52. House of the Rising Sun (Adam & Eve, stones > Bee attack, watch-gate, and caves vs. beach)
53. Left Behind (Not terrible, but one of the more mediocre and unmemorable episodes)
54. Exposé (Again, not terrible, just not a great direction for LOST. Bonus points for disposing of two cursory characters!)
----------------------------------------
55. I Do (Another turgid Kate romp)
56. D.O.C. (Would've been fair but written/filmed/edited in an uncharacteristically sloppy and annoying fashion)
57. The Whole Truth (Another poorly handled episode with a cute little crackerjack map. God I hated the balloon map.)
58. White Rabbit (The scene at the caves at the end was decent, the rest ****** big time.)
59. Born to Run (Bad lead up, i just rewatched it and i again remember little about it)
60. Do No Harm (Boone dies, Aaron's born, Jack regurgitates syrupy verbal diarrhea all over his soon to be wife in this hammy episode)
61. ...And Found (Dirty Foot Brigade is only genuinely interesting scene)
62. Greatest Hits (Soppy and unbearable)
63. Special (Un-BEAR-able! :-) )
64. Tabula Rasa (Made me want to stop watching initially... The "dilemma" was a good direction but the scene came off as funny. The characters looked uncomfortable in their roles this early)
65. Whatever the Case May Be (TOY PLANE HEIST!?!??!?!?)
66. The Moth (Can it get any worse?)
67. S.O.S. (Evidently it can...)
It's here...
Okay, I'm obviously ignoring the elephant in the room. LOST... is... over. Eight dang months, people! Luckily, we've got skeena93's book club and a few things I've got planned (like a updated super awesome caption contest (and the return of my riddle contest)) to hold us over.
I don't even want to talk about it... It's too depressing. LOST ROCKS!!!

Prediction: 9.2-9.4
I know. I know. I know. "How could you say the finale will be so low, Brian!?" Well, the main reason is becase it's a Jack flashback and 70% of the LOST fans seem to utterly hate Jack. That's crazy talk to my ears, but I can't change it. So, yeah. The other reason is that a lot of people have been complaining about the spoilers that were released about the episode recently and that doesn't bode well for the aspects I base my prediction on. Sure, it'll obviously be a good episode--it's a finale for Pete's sake, but I have this feeling that other people, not me of course, aren't going to like. Who knows though? I thought 'Greatest Hits' would be a 8.9-9.1 and it's a 9.60!
Oh, it's written by none other than Team Darlton (Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) and it's directed by Jack Bender!
7/6c (CTV) for "Blame Canda"
9/10c (ABC) for "America: F**k Yeah!"

Some pictures of Jack crying to get you pumped for this week's episode... (They are inside the spoiler tags to save room)
***SPOILER***
My Theory
Jack, Charlie, Bernard and Cindy Chandler work for DHARMA Initiative along with a few others.
The plane never crashed on the island. Bernard placed a small bomb in the rear toilets and as he flushed it into the air it exploded creating a small confusion amongst the passengers. Charlie placed a second small explosion in the aircrafts toilet near the front which caused the aircraft to descend fast and the oxygen masks came down and all passengers were out cold. The oxygen masks did not provide oxygen, but a knock out gas. Jack was ok because he drunk a small bottle of medicine to prevent him form being unconscious, given to him by Cindy. Charlie was ok to as he took his medicine in the toilet, I can assume Bernard and Cindy done a similar thing.
A few moments latter Jack goes to the cotpit and then fly's the plane to a small island and lands it.
All survivors are part of a big experiment.
Bernard's reason for doing this was to cure his wife (rose) from cancer.
Jack reasons unknown at this time.
Charlie reasons unknown at this time.
Cindy reasons unknown at this time.
Jack and Charlie need to get to the cotpit with one of the main survivors because she came round when she should have been unconscious and may remember what really happened. So they set it up so Kate will go with them to the cotpit to retrieve the transceiver. Charlie goes into what is believed to be the toilet to set off what we see as the monster killing the pilot, with all this Kate can't ask as she is in a group that all seem to fit together, latter Kate says she has seen Charlie before, Charlie response that he is a rock star from Driveshaft and a link is made, now Kate will forget what she remembers for now as her mind is satisfied.
I will add more soon
