Bully

I have decided that Bully is my current favorite Rockstar games title. Don't get me wrong, Rockstar makes many many great quality games. In fact, I own many of their titles, Max Payne 1 and 2, all the GTA games just to name a few, but something about Bully just struck me as odd while I was playing it. I finally figured out what that was, I was having a really good time, It's just a whole lot of fun! From the bike races to skitching behind cars on your skateboard to the crazy variety of mini games that range from spelling, to arcade spinoffs to go cart races, there is just an overwhelming sense of fun. then top it all off with the missions you go on and you have one great game! Maybe it's just that it doesn't seem to take itself as serious as some of the GTA games. I don't know I just know that I wish I would have picked up a copy sooner!

Gamespot

How do you lose emblems from your profile? I thought once you earned one it stayed on your profile. I guess not, I was happy to see that I had been awarded a second emblem a few days ago, thought oh cool I'm actually getting something for contributing to the site....now it's gone. WTF!!!??? I guess someone at GS decided if they have the power to give, then they have the power to take away as well. Kind of a sucky thing to do to a person huh? It's not the end of the world and I will get past it and continue to contribute to the site for the gamers and the games but still, for the time being I am a little disappointed.

Why are we still waiting for Half Life 2: Episode 3?

I mean seriously! The previous two have already been released! Even bundled in a pack with Half Life 2 and 2 other great games! The two expansions were disappointingly short, great fun but still way to short. While Half Life 2 remains one of my top favorite games I would love to finish the saga sometime before I'm 60!

Just because a game is old doesn't mean it's bad......ok some times it does.

I was on my way home the other day when I happened to pass by a yard sale set up in the front yard of this house that I live by. Out of curiosity and boredom alone I decided to stop and take a gander at the junk they were trying to hawk on us poor innocent passersby. Along with a few vhs copies of some movies I have not seen in a very long time I purchased a couple of old Playstation games, Thats PS1 there folks, not ps2 or even ps3. Having fond memories of my gameing days of glory with that particular console I perused the titles and picked a copy of Resident Evil, a game of which my copy dissapeared some time in jr high, and an unknown adventure game I had never heard of titled Dracula: The Resurrection. Single player games are my bread and butter, I do play multiplayer when the chance comes up but lacking xbox liveor an internet connection at home in general makes things a little tricky, I actually have to get togather with people and play split screen or have a lan party and link several systems and tv's! GASP! I know it's unthinkable right? Anyway, this particular title in question....Dracula happens to just be one of the WORST video games I have ever played. Siply put there is no adventure in this adventure game. Seems like something from the very early days of full 3d environments except it's not really 3d, just a matte painting you can mover around in, and it loads everytime you do something. From what I can find on the main site here, gamespot of course,it was also released as a pc game and actually got mediocre (spelling?) reviews. But I just could not fathom trying to play it any longer than I did, about an hour and a half maybe two. Just terrible, and I love adventure games! Watch for a review if you want, but based on the fact that it's a PS1 game and that GS it's self didn't do a review I'm thinking not many people are to interested. You never know what you might find at a yard sale, treasure (Resident Evil) or trash (Dracula: The Resurrection) but hey at least I only paid 2 bucks for each of them, and 1 out of 2 isnt to bad. lol

Posting a review

Allright now I am irritated, no annoyed, better yet down right angry! Spent about half an hour typing up a review to post here on GS only to have my popup blocker delete it when I gave permission to allow pop ups! Arrrggghhhhh!!!! pulling hair out!
