Friday is the Fourth of July, and and the TV.com staff will be celebrating with plenty of fireworks and barbecues. Since fire codes prevent us from setting off fireworks or barbecuing inside the building, we won't be in the office. Business will be back to usual on Monday!

Memorial Day Weekend and brief scheduled maintenance
Hey everyone! The MP3.com staff will be commemorating the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26, and won't be in the offices. We'll be back on Tuesday! Also, the site will be undergoing some maintenance in the wee hours of Tuesday morning (May 27), from 1-3 am PDT. During this time, all users will be treated as logged out, which means no blogging, forum posting, etc., but you should still be able to see access and read all areas of the site. Sorry for the inconvenience!

SafetySuit Sweepstakes: Win a Nintendo Wii!
SafetySuit is set to release their debut album, Life Left to Go, on May 13 through Universal Motown. Produced by Greg Archilla (Buckcherry, Collective Soul, Matchbox 20), Life Left to Go features the first single "Someone Like You" -- a powerful track with a massive hook that is already rocking at radio. While I don't believe in Noel-inspired decorations before Thanksgiving is over (yes, I'm looking at you, malls across America), it's never too early to start those holiday season gift-giving lists. MP3 @ CMJ Music Marathon

Collections and Lists
Check it out! You can now add songs, albums and artists, not only to your favorites, but also to any custom list you choose. Just go to the "My Lists" tab in your user profile, click on "Create New List," and get creative. You can be as broad as "Best Metal Bands," or as specific as, "Worst Rap Songs by Chicago MCs between 1990-1992." We've also got a handy "Collections" section, where you can keep track of your own albums and singles. Give it a whirl!

Something for Everyone: Music Festivals Galore!
While summer generally means reruns and inane reality programming for TV, it conversely translates into some rockin' days and nights for music. Our Summer Daze: Summer Music Fest Roundup gives you the scoop on all the music festivals coming your way, and Brolin Winning just came back from the Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest, with tons of interviews and video. And straight off the heels of hosting the Lollapalooza Last Band Standing contest (which recently announced its five finalists, who will now perform LIVE in Chicago for the final round to see who makes it to the Lollapalooza stage), we're doing it again with the Austin City Limits Music Festival: The Sound and the Jury. Didn't make it to the final five? No worries, re-vamp your campaign for a shot at playing alongside the likes of Bob Dylan, Bjork, The White Stripes, The Killers, Wilco, Arcade Fire, Amy Winehouse, Ben Kweller... need I go on?
