A.C.C.
Brazilian rockers A.C.C. were just another hard-working band with a decent gimmick before an incident in September of 2002 gave them worldwide notoriety. Based in Porto Alegre, Brazil, the band (whose name is a Portuguese acronym for "Beyond the Grey Sky") offered a strange mix of political commentary and fantasy with their fake post-apocalyptic origin and bizarre stage uniforms. Despite such a strong image, they seemed to feel they were not getting the mainstream recognition they deserved, and vocalist Marcus Vinicius dos Santos decided to do something about it. Storming into a radio station with a copy of their record and a loaded gun, dos Santos held up a DJ for almost 70 minutes while As Fases da Vida played over the air. The police surrounded the studio and forced dos Santos to surrender, but in a bizarre twist the publicity-savvy DJ told listeners where they could buy the album after the incident was over. As expected, the album's sales notably improved after dos Santos' outburst. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide

Not exactly a bad way to past time. Although I have had more enjoyable moments. A.C.C. does have its high points although I certainly wished there were more of them.

Not perfect but not bad either. Too bad in a month's time, I would probably get sick of this song. But for now, it's all good.
