Ace High The TopGun

“I was born in Seattle cuz Pops was on the run… but don’t trip my house-shoes is from the Slauson…” – “Sign Language” I don’t have a bio or a press kit & I’m not gonna speak in 3rd person like I’m not writing this **** I just wanna share a little bit about myself & my feelings about the rap game. Hopefully you can feel where I’m comin’ from & get behind a real movement. Yes Hip Hop lived… died and I am its rebirth…its reincarnation… So KEEP HIPHOP ALIVE!!! I started rappin’ @ the age of 9 and honed my skills in various battles & freestyle circles throughout the southland. I was a member of a couple local groups until I founded RAPADELIC in 94’. The name comes from the influences of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic the heavy funk usage of such Westcoast pioneers as Too $hort, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg. I’m a Hip Hop head so my influences aren’t bound to one region. On any given day you can catch me bangin some West, East or South ****. My music is art inspired by life…Which is the reason why the name of my mixtape series is REALISTIC. Be it right or wrong, if it’s a part of life I will touch on it. As I grow as an artist I do expect to cover more topics and shy further away from negativity. I’ve got a few names & I’ll break down a couple…1st ACE HIGH…that’s a no brainier! THE REAPER because I’m here to take the life and claim the soul of unnecessary wastes of space. Those with no morals honor or respect don’t deserve to live so I grant them death…by simply doing what I do best. STARCHILD the 2nd comin’ of the funk…my favorite Parliament song is Mothership Connection. I’m just keeping the party goin’ by speaking to the next generation…merging Rap with Funk once again. Let me ask some dumb questions…If you’re not a rapper why are you rapping? If you are such a successful drug dealer pimp thief or murderer…what the **** are you doing with a mic in your hand? …and don’t say cuz you’re nice because you have no lyrical content & no redeeming value. Why do you waste your time recording disposable music that has no longevity? The answer kids is money…niggaz just wanna get paid no matter what the cost. If that’s not selling your soul…I don’ know what is! The current state of mainstream Hip Hop is programming and training the producers and consumers of it to stay within a small box. This makes it easy to relate to the masses since most people are uneducated. This is the reason why when you see music videos nowadays, you’ve heard it all before. The new Hip Hop generation doesn’t expect substance. They only require a beat that they can dance to and lyrics that won’t make them think too hard. Artist have become lazy and are rehashing the same formulas of club records drug deals sex money and murder. So you ask what makes me any different…I speak of my love for Hip Hop and I take pride in executing my craft. I have faith that by doing this it will cause the masses to change their expectations of rap music. It is time for a redefinition…a reprogramming. Everything I say has a purpose. If I speak of being in the club drinking & smoking…it’s because that’s my life. A whole album of party records is just one dimensional. I touch on relationships which include but not limited to sex. I’m not a rap romantic but there are more creative ways to address women topics without it being…I ****ed this girl that girl …over here over there. Don’t get me wrong, that’s cool but there’s a way to do it. I talk about the struggles of living life…everything from financial binds to government plots to institutionalize & kill black people…promote self hate and keep us stagnant. The Westcoast… you can hate it or love it…or both. I say the best thing that ever happened to the West is also the worst (the gift & the curse). The West pioneered & introduced the world to being a black gangsta…captivating ears and opening eyes to L.A.’s harsh realities. The bad part is that’s all the mainstream has come to expect from a Westcoast artist…causing some to falsify their character to be accepted. Growin’ up out here you can’t help but be affiliated but some niggaz get in the booth & turn into super Blood or Cuz. By glorifying these images & ideologies to generations to come we are keeping ourselves stuck in one realm…where everything is getting worse. No money more problems…Mo’ money more problems…more murder… more sex younger pregnancies more abortions…higher gas higher cost of living. You can expect the middle class to disappear…you’re either gonna be poor or rich out this mutha****a…And that’s only if a nigga don’t kill you 1st. “I don’t do this for C.R.E.A.M. but I know what it means... (Cash rules everything around me)…I don’t do it for fun I don’t do for cheese… I’m here to rescue the seeds ya’ll mislead… into thinking ya’ll MC’s…word up” Someone has to step up and preserve the culture since everyone from corporations to the artists themselves want to just milk Hip Hop for all its worth…chew it up spit it out and leave it in the history books…thanks for taking the time to read this… Support RAPADELIC ENT. “KEEP HIP HOP ALIVE” 1LUV ~ ACE GUN
