Although Barry Altschul is showcased on a solo performance on "Hey Toots!," and there is a trio piece with pianist Muhal Richard Abrams and bassist Dave Holland, the highlights of this excellent album are the other selections that feature interplay between Sam Rivers (on tenor, flute, and soprano) and trombonist George Lewis.
