Paul Barbarin's 1962 band was a particularly strong one, featuring trumpeter/vocalist Thomas Jefferson and clarinetist Louis Cottrell. Unfortunately this LP has an excess of vocals by Blanche Thomas and a version of "Just a Little While to Stay Here" completely given to Sister Elizabeth Eustis and her choir, so the musicians are not heard from as much as one might like.
