Ellard and company spend a good deal of Cuisine sounding like Depeche Mode with the dial set to "evil," which is fairly disappointing considering Severed Heads' previous contributions to the world of twisted electronic pop music. In a few places they even seem to be rehashing some of their earlier material. It's not a complete waste of time; it's still off-kilter enough to make it more interesting than most electro-pop of the early '90s.
