The talented pianist James Dapogny teams up with clarinetist Kim Cusack and drummer Wayne Jones from his regular band to perform a set of 1920s style trios on this Stomp Off CD. Their role models were the various Jelly Roll Morton trios although there are also some pop tunes of the era included along with their original "Odostomp." Among the more enjoyable numbers are "Lucky Day," "Turtle Twist," "Shreveport Stomp," "Baby," "Little Girl" and "Mandy, Make Up Your Mind."
