Typical of a budget album, the songs are non-hit versions of classic tunes like "Maple on the Hill" and "The Great Speckled Bird." A country version of the pop and R&B hit "Ivory Tower" is the only selection that is even remotely surprising. A pair of Irish and Mexican flavored songs are in keeping with the tendency toward ethnic material Locklin exhibited on his thematic albums of the '60s.
