For the most part, the songs on Shelter won't immediately jump out at the listener, but the tracks do grow on you after a few repeated listens. The album opens with an a cappella version of "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and closes with the rocking "Gospel Ship." In between are ten tracks that showcase Chapman's fine songwriting and performing abilities.
