This LP from the collector's label Broadway Intermission has a variety of odds and ends featuring the superior 1920s pop singer Ruth Etting. She is heard on eight of her lesser-known studio recordings of 1927-33 (including "Don't Tell Her What Happened to Me," "My Man" and "All of Me"), five songs taken from soundtracks of her film shorts dating from the early '30s, six tunes from appearances on radio shows in London in 1936 and a 1947 broadcast version of "Shine on Harvest Moon" performed during her short-lived comeback. Although not essential, this hard-to-find LP should greatly interest Ruth Etting's fans since most of the performances have not yet been reissued on CD.
