Ludacris stumbles around Amsterdam and the cameras capture it all on the DVD The Red Light District. The DVD is based around a live show that's more of a party than a proper concert. There's a champagne glass filled with naked women on stage and Luda's performance is lively but sloppy. While watching the documentary footage that interrupts the show, it doesn't take long to figure out why he's sloppy. Luda visits numerous hash bars, grow rooms, and hemp shops and winds up so self-admittedly "body stoned" that he ends up horribly confused while interviewing a plain-talking hooker. Often while walking the streets he's miming any number of tracks from the Red Light District album or talking about its producers and everything that went into making it. That's interesting, but not half as interesting as his interviews with marijuana traffickers and sellers where he hangs on every pearl of wisdom they offer like he was listening to Buddha. Hanging with an especially effervescent Luda is entertaining, just don't expect to be blown away by the music or video quality, and expect more nudity and drug use than music.
