Album: Pablito's Way
Artist:
Motion Man
Release Date: 9/19/2006
Genre: Hip-Hop
Though he proudly represents the Bay Area, Motion Man is not a rambunctious hyphy rapper, nor is he a spaced-out alt-philosopher. He is, however, one of the most consistently impressive lyricists when it comes to straight rhyme skills. With an unpredictable multidimensional approach and charisma for days, he is able to rap circles around most anybody out, flexing a stylistic originality sorely missing from hip-hop today. On his second solo album, Pablito's Way, he and longtime producer KutMasta Kurt team up for 21 tracks of raw fury, sounding off on topics such as tall cans of beer, big-bottomed females, and microphone mastery. Though perpetually slept on by the public at large, Motion's one-of-a-kind vocal presence and whimsical storytelling ability have endeared him to a cult following around the globe.
