Meliti Ensemble was a group formed by Alekos K. Vretos an oudist and composer. They released an album called "Yunan" meaning Greece in Arabic. They played mostly music by Alekos Vretos and some Arab composers in their own unique style. The virtouosity of Alekos Vretos on the oud and the Greek style playing of the ensmble created a fresh new "World" music effect that is not to be missed by listeners of this genre.
