Subtle, clear acoustic- and slide guitars and piano melodies over 60 - 70 bmp beats and a unique, layered soundscape of slide guitar and synth pads. Ambient music for lounging or for an atmospheric drive and can be used in a yoga class :-) "A night-time drive" and "Spaces in my heart" feature quietly driving loops behind quietly passionate instrumentation creating a spacey, soundtrack listening experience. "A quiet passion" is an acoustic guitar, beat free version of "A night-time drive", and there are also more vibey single and stronger lounge versions of the title track. The 25 minute "Long road to love" defies genre catagorization with its slow motion hip-hop beat, resonating slide guitars and shifitng layers of synths. Two uplifitng mid-tempo piecs ("I Trust" and "Clear mind") reflect influences of middle-of-the-road late '90's instrumentals, world music, ambient electronica and the Buddha Bar/Claude Challe/Cafe Del Mar stuff. Two meditative excerpts of the longer tracks on Ambient Music 2 ("Winter's light") ties number 1 with its sister album; the same synth sounds and structures are used on both albums. Composed, performed and recorded by Johann at home.
