Collectables' The Very Best of Big Maybelle: That's All features 12 songs that she recorded for Sceptor Records in the '60s. This wasn't the most particularly distinguished period of Maybelle's career, and this collection doesn't put it in perspective, leaving out some of the best records she made for the label, including the minor hit "Yesterday's Kisses." That said, this does have its moments -- enough to make it worthwhile to dedictated soul collectors willing to sort the wheat from the chaff.
