When Sundazed records released this CD of the Watchband's second album in 1994, it was the first legitimate issue of the album on compact disc, and the sound quality and the annotation -- including Greg Prevost's questions for Sean Tolby, who'd passed away in 1990 -- were revelations. The producers also appended some welcome bonus tracks, consisting of sides of two of their earlier singles, the garage punk classics "Sweet Young Thing" b/w "Baby Blue" (the group's originally released version of Dylan's "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue") and the more laid-back psychedelia of "She Weaves a Tender Trap" and the Stones-influenced "Misty Lane." As these tracks were most definitely the work of the Watchband proper, it makes the Sundazed reissue much more a showcase for the actual group than the original LP was. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide [-] Collapse
