Country Music Hall of Famer Floyd Tillman finally gets a fair showing on this, a 24-track anthology of his greatest recordings for Columbia from 1946-1954, including such classics as "Drivin' Nails in My Coffin" and "Slipping Around" (plus its follow-up, "I'll Never Slip Around Again"). All of Tillman's hits for the label are included and much more, offering a thorough picture of Tillman at his peak . The Best of Floyd Tillman is an excellent and essential anthology of this influential artist's smooth, Western swing-inflected honky tonk.
