Like most former child stars, Bill Mumy was forever haunted by images of his childhood -- nobody would take him seriously if he wasn't Will Robinson. That's too bad, because his two '90s albums, Dying to Be Heard and In Current, show that he's worth taking seriously as a musician. His second album, In Current, finds him making strides forward as a songwriter, turning out solid folk-rock tunes with a strong heartland rock undercurrent. He's at his best when he's tackling introspective subjects, like the death of his friend, Nicolette Larson.
