Here is a band that calls their music "powerpunkbubblegum" -- strong guitar riffs formulated around classic rock & roll tunes from the past three decades that give the band their foundation. Add to this some creative writing and a solid rhythm section to visualize what the Gladrags are all about -- from the opening track ("Action"), a power punk tune with streaming lead licks and powerhouse bass and drums, to the last track ("Mary's Modern World") with its complex chordal structure. "Teenage Lament" has a bluesy quality to it, with a Joe Walsh styling in the guitar work, especially in the bridge. "Bullet Train to Tokyo" has a definite college-rock sound, and the cool vocal effects make this song perfect for radio airplay.
