Illusion of Safety is an experimental and amorphous project. This shape-shifting ensemble is the wizardry of Dan Burke, head of Complacency Records. Burke works with a few different people on each Illusion of Safety album. Bad Karma is an abrasive collage of harsh sounds and disorienting dialog soundbites. While some Illusion of Safety recordings are otherworldly synth sounds to gently wear away the day's stresses, don't think of this caustic Illusion of Safety release as sonic balm.
