Firehouse Five Plus Two started out in the late '40s as a fun sideline Dixieland jazz band comprised of several Disney animators (possibly created to let off steam following a hard day of drawing Donald Duck?). This sideline venture caught on quickly and became a full-time band making several records for the Goodtime Jazz label and were often found playing at Disneyland. This compilation is part of the Warner Jazz Les Incontournables series and features 17 cuts from 1949-1961.
