On the Move/Faith Alive by
Adam Faith!
Critic's Review
Bruce Eder, All Music Guide
A pair of albums that ought to interest not only fans of Adam Faith and the Roulettes, who play (and sing backup) on most of the songs, but also anyone who wants more of the kind of solid, melodic Merseybeat-style pop/rock embodied by the likes of Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Searchers, the Hollies, or Billy J. Kramer & the Dakotas. The studio album On the Move is a rival for the best albums of the era by Gerry & the Pacemakers and others, and Faith Alive, a live recording, is a unique musical document as well as a genuinely exciting record, and all of it is almost as good a showcase for the Roulettes as it is for Adam Faith. Faith Alive even includes two original compositions by the group.
