Intimate songwriter and vocalist Deborah McColl spent decades working as a backup singer for the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Tom Waits, Chick Corea, David Bromberg, Steve Martin, and Cat Stevens before finally recording her own album in 2000. Naked in the Garden is a bright and sunny collection of personal folk songs all showcasing McColl's emotive voice and able guitar playing. Her harmonies with partner Patrick Lubow are highlights of the album, particularly on "We're Connected" and the title track.
