This is another five-song release from Katoorah Jayne. Once again she proves that it's a bad idea to piss off a songwriter because the ex-lover gets thoroughly shot down. "It's a "Good Thing" I'm not lightning/I would strike you dead" goes through a whole litany of anger. People in the recent aftermath of a bad breakup may well relate to this song, while others in a more mellow mood may find it a bit harsh. "Tear Into You" starts sultry, and then strengthens into a tigress growl. This is the song of an aggressively sexual woman who knows what she wants, and goes right after it. Funky retro '60s sound on "It's All the Rage" does a satire of fashion and behavior extremes with brassy, sassy lyrics. She mellows out on "Just Kiss Me," a more balladic offering that shows her gentler side. "Malia" rocks out, but the percussion overwhelms the vocals in places, and from a technical standpoint, this one might benefit from a remix. Listeners who enjoy this sampling of J's work may want to try her full-length albums, It's All the Rage and Cabbage Music Matinee, as well.
