Before Love Jones' second album was released in 1995, a four-track EP preview was released. Four songs from Powerful Pain Relief are here, including "The Thing," "World of Summer," "You Don't Know Me," and "Vigilante." These four songs are among the best on the album, and "World of Summer" is the only track that is a different version and a different length. This is a fun EP that will appeal to hardcore fans only. It is, however, a good sampler of the band's second album.
