Though its title cops that of Bow Wow Wow's most famous single (and their career-defining 1982 LP), this particular I Want Candy is actually a German-market catch-all of remixes and live material. It includes two remixes of that ubiquitous title track; while neither are very memorable, the Razed in Black's industrial take is marginally stronger. There are also two mixes of "W.O.R.K. [N.O. Nah, No No My Daddy Don't]." Here, the Kevin Haskins version has a nice, Meat Beat Manifesto feel to it. (Haskins's past with both Bauhaus and Love & Rockets has no bearing on his work here, despite the packaging's attempts to play up the affiliation.) The live performances are too bad; the lack of documentation makes their origin(s) unclear, and somewhat suspect. Still, longtime Bow Wow Wow fans might have some interest in this material. Standouts include "C30, C60, C90, Go!" and the snarky come-on of "Sexy Eiffel Towers".
