Though its title cops that of Bow Wow Wow's most famous single (and their career-defining 1982 LP), this particular I Want Candy is actually a German-market catch-all of remixes and live material. It includes two remixes of that ubiquitous title track; while neither are very memorable, the Razed in Black's industrial take is marginally stronger. There are also two mixes of "W.O.R.K. [N.O. Nah, No No My Daddy Don't]." Here, the Kevin Haskins version has a nice, Meat Beat Manifesto feel to it. (Haskins's past with both Bauhaus and Love & Rockets has no bearing on his work here, despite the packaging's attempts to play up the affiliation.) The live performances are too bad; the lack of documentation makes their origin(s) unclear, and somewhat suspect. Still, longtime Bow Wow Wow fans might have some interest in this material.
