Thom Brennan's work knows no boundaries, and in yet another exquisite work that displays his compositional giftedness and thoughtful choice of timbre he's set out to take listeners on another sonic journey through an ever-evolving time and space. With a beautiful and cascading ambience that seems to course through the whole of the four tracks that make up The Secret Faiths of Salamanders, Thom Brennan has meticulously crafted the most beautiful of sonically organic ambient music that doesn't drone, but instead sweeps the listener into some kind of strange and beautiful sonic mind warp that leaves listeners feeling regenerated and whole. This is a transcendental work, and once again Thom Brennan has proved his worth with yet another fantastic recording that reflects a calm and peaceful unity of both spirit and composition.
