In 1997, Philippine record label OctoArts released Lea Salonga: OPM Timeless Collection, a collection of songs recorded by Philippine female singer Lea Salonga on two albums for the label, released in 1988 and 1992, respectively. Lea Salonga is one of the Philippines' most revered singers, having won a Tony award for her lead performance in the Broadway musical Miss Saigon. Her Philippine albums are dominated by easy listening love songs, a style of music quite popular in the Philippines. The songs on Lea Salonga: OPM Timeless Collection are pleasant enough, although not very challenging. "Nandito Ako" (Here I Am) and "Tell Me" are nice enough songs and have become standards in the Philippines.

"That Situation" is an upbeat number that guest stars Latin boy group Menudo, who appear to dominate the song. One of the most surprising numbers is the modern, dance-inflected "I Wanna Little Love," on which Lea Salonga is relaxed and confident and the song shines. One wonders why she doesn't do more of this type of material.
