The Sacred Well: Best of 2002 by 2002!

Critic's Review

4.0 out of 5 stars Heather Phares, All Music Guide
Appropriately enough, 2002 picked their namesake year to release the career retrospective The Sacred Well: Best of 2002. The collection gathers a dozen of the new age group's definitive pieces from the past decade, including "Lover's Bridge," "To Touch the Sky," "Summer of 300 Years," and "The Ocean Dreams." Interestingly, the compilation includes nothing from their first two albums, Wings and Savitri, while it features three tracks from their 2002 release Across an Ocean of Dreams. The collection also draws heavily from River of Stars and Land of Forever and includes three previously unreleased tracks: "City of Peace," "Kindred Spirit," and "Full Circle." So while Sacred Well: Best of 2002 may not be the most balanced representation of their work, it does provide a fairly good collection of their more recent material, which mixes the pristine, glistening textures of their sound with a warmer emotional depth.
