Critic's Review

3.5 out of 5 stars Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
The 16-track Best of 1991-2001 collection focuses on Mary Black's period of aiming for the adult contemporary charts in America after the success of her No Frontiers album, moving from her base as a traditional Celtic and British Isles folk music singer to a more pop-oriented approach on the Yankee side of the Atlantic. Cuts from the albums Mary Black, Holy Ground, Circus, Babes in the Wood, Looking Back, One and Only, Shine, and others are included here. The set also comes with a bonus disc called "Hidden Harvest" featuring Black in duet with many American singers, including Joan Baez, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Emmylou Harris.
