This CD, by Stephen Philips, is a series of looped and layered drones with distinct flavors of American minimalism and touches of European flair. Philips, the western hemisphere's drone king, uses cutting edge techniques on this disc. The atmospheres are dark and dismal. Where two points do meet, there is a dark cloud over the proceedings.
