Ambulance LTD strikes again with this brief but stirring EP, politely, blatantly blending Britpop and dream pop references with the deliberate shimmer of Yo La Tengo. "Stay Where You Are" and "Primitive [The Way I Treat You]" are pretty damn perfect, the former acting as an arch, echoing reverb platform for Marcus Congleton's willowy vocal confidence, while the latter must make Bobby Gillespie wet himself with jealousy. The EP's duration similarly blends impeccable reference with sweeping melody, crafty arrangement, or both -- it's always something to give this ambulance its own coat of paint.
