I can't get enough of The Shins!! Especially "Chutes too Narrow" I must say I preffer it to their first album, "Oh, Inverted World" even though I feel they are both magnificent. The lyrics are beautifully written and the music ties it together wonder

We've seen far too many of the 21st century's great hopefuls stumble on that follow-up already, but that only serves to make 'Chutes Too Narrow' that much more of an achievement.

Contrary to expectations, Chutes Too Narrow proves the Shins have more on their minds than singing the perfect harmony or writing the ultimate couplet, and it's that deeper sense of introspection that makes it a keeper.

It's terrible, but the phrase I used to give the Shins was "good soft rock". How awful. They're neither.
