A DVD re-release of the Live video from hardcore legends Minor Threat eclipses that original VHS release so completely that it will easily replace that tapes' presence in anyone's collection. Not only is the sound improved and interview footage with Ian MacKaye included, but footage from a third show rounds out the coverage. While those in the know recognize that original video as having a blast of a live show from the 9:30 Club, this new version includes a show from Buff Hall that was not only shot more economically, but has an even more energized crowd that borders on total anarchy. The interview footage is informative and definitely interesting from an historical viewpoint, making this (along with the complete discography CD) one-half of all you'd ever need to capture the spirit and power of this American hardcore powerhouse.
