He was a huge draw, and these were the top recordings in Aladdin's catalog. Jukeboxes throughout the South, Chicago, New York, and even L.A. were featuring recordings by Milburn. This set include the original recorded versions of classics such as "Jitterbug Fashion Parade" and "In the Middle of the Night," which were among his most successful records from 1948, while 1949 saw "Roomin' House Boogie," "Let's Make Christmas Merry, Baby," "Bow-Wow!," "Drifting Blues," and "Real Pretty Mama."
